Senior Candidate applications

Applications to participate as a Senior Candidate in the 2026 Engineering Obligation Ceremony are now open and will be accepted until 9 January 2026. Those accepted as Senior Candidates will be eligible to register for the Ceremony.

If you are currently an undergraduate engineering student you should not apply using the Senior Candidate process; you will receive an invitation to register through your home university.

Eligibility

Senior candidate status is available to anyone who:

  1. is a graduate of an accredited Canadian undergraduate engineering program, or
  2. is or has previously been a fully-licensed professional engineer in Canada, or
  3. has received confirmation of academic acceptability for licensure from a Canadian provincial or territorial regulator of professional engineering such as Professional Engineers Ontario.

If your undergraduate degree is not from an accredited Canadian engineering programme, you will not qualify as a Senior Candidate unless you can provide documentation demonstrating eligibility under either categories 2 or 3 above. For category 3 it is not necessary to have completed the licensure process, just the assessment of academic acceptability.

Application process

Complete the Senior Candidate Application form and email it, along with the required documentation, to seniorcandidates@camp3.ca. There is no application fee.

Applications must be received before midnight EST, January 9, 2026. Late applications will not be considered.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application not later than mid-January 2026. Successful applicants must register for the Ceremony in order to participate. Ceremony registration will be open from 14 January through 13 February 2026.
